CANAL FULTON--Paul F. Matisak, age 46, went home to be with the Lord after a long illness on June 24, 2017, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Ravenna, Paul lived in the Akron/Portage Lakes area most of his life. He was formerly employed with Key Bank and then became the Vice President of Corporate Banking as a Senior Loan Underwriter with PNC Bank (National City Bank). Paul attended the Chapel in Green and Jackson Friends Church.
Preceded in death by his mother, Andrea; Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly A. (nee Rosen); sons, William P. and Robert J.; father, William P. of New Franklin; brother, William A. (Holly) of Green; uncle and aunt, John and Teresa Turcanik of Westlake; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Cynthia Rosen of Green; sister-in-law, Wendy Rosen of Green; brother-in-law, Daniel Rosen of Green; and nieces and nephews, Amanda (Joshua) Mason, Ezekiel Rosen, Kelsey Rosen and Tucker Mason.
Funeral service will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) with Pastor Steve Bucy officiating. Friends and family will be received Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Friday, one hour prior to the service, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to Mercy Medical Surgical Center, 1320 Mercy Drive Northwest, Canton, Ohio 44708.
