Patricia M. Peters

Patricia Mary Barth Peters passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2021. She was 73 years old. Patricia was born April 23, 1948 in Utica, New York to John and Mary Barth. She grew up and went to college in New York until she moved to Ohio in the 1970’s to further her education at Kent State University. Shortly after coming to Ohio she married Michael Peters on May 6, 1976. Once married to Michael, they had 2 children named Andy Peters and Kristin Peters (Mitchell), both of which were loved very much. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Barth, and her husband, Michael Peters. Surviving are Patricia’s children, Andy (Mary) Peters and Kristin (Kevin) Mitchell; her dear friend and companion, Peter Quackenbush; grandchild, Emerson Peters; plus many cousins and close friends. Patricia worked at Kent State for many years and devoted her studies to Statistics. She was always open to and enjoyed helping to tutor people and trying to teach them how to make math fun. Most of all, Patricia loved helping others. She devoted much of her time donating to veterans in need and helping anyone she could. She will be greatly missed, but we rejoice in the fact that one day we will be reunited in Heaven. Calling hours and/or funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time.
