Patricia J. Dawson

Patricia J. Dawson (Kelly), 78, of Uniontown passed away on February 7th, 2015 to be with the Lord and reunite with her loving husband Ken.

Patricia was born in Akron on January 15, 1937. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Second Mother to many and Friend. Patricia was a great example of strength, hard work, compassion and unconditional love to not only her family and friends but also to the children’s lives she touched in the 22 years as a child care provider. Some of her passions included reading, bowling, gardening and spending time with her Canasta Card Club girls. She always looked forward to her yearly trip to the beach where she would spend hours under the umbrella reading her book and enjoying the sounds of the surf.

She is survived by her children Debbie Dawson, Denise (Tom) English, Diane Stevenson, and Ken, Jr. (Stephanie) Dawson and grandchildren Elizabeth, Stephen, and Michael English, Michael and Natalie Stevenson, and Marissa and Courtney Dawson. She is survived by her sister Paula Kavali and her brother Paul Kelly, her in-laws Darrell and Joyce Dawson, her many beloved nieces and nephews and her two lifelong friends, Melda Fisher and Pat Wymer.

Burial will be held at Hillside Memorial Park 1025 Canton Rd. Akron on Friday, February 13, at 11:00am. Memorial Mass will be at Queen of Heaven on Saturday, February 14, located at 1800 Steese Road Uniontown at 10:30am with lunch served immediately after.
