“Together Again”
Patricia Ann Cameron
There was a celestial celebration on December 17, 2020 when Patricia Ann Cameron, 75, went home to be with The Lord, and was reunited with her husband of 51 years, Earle Curtis Cameron.
Born and raised in Austintown, Ohio, Pat spent most of her life in Suffield, moving to Green a few years ago. She graduated from Youngstown State University with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 1966, but soon traded her career in nursing to be a stay-at-home mom. Never enticed by materialism, recognition, fame or power, Pat loved to live the simple life. She loved cooking, sewing and quilting, and was a fan of libraries and second-hand shops. She reveled in the satisfaction of completing a word or jigsaw puzzle and found pleasure in a well-written novel or mystery. But there was nothing more in life that brought her greater joy than being a Nana, and her grandchildren adored her. She spent the past 15 years babysitting grandkids, and attending their school and sporting events. Pat loved The Lord, and if she said she would be praying for you, she was.
Mourning her sudden loss, and left to cherish her memory are her children, Kristin (Curtis) Meder, Karen (Ramazan) Arkan, Josh (Amy) Cameron, and Sharon (Rob) Tittl; grandchildren, Zeke, Alayna, Eden, Joshua, Luke, Alexa, Levi, Arthur, Ember, and Vanessa; sister Suzanne Wagner.
Friends and family will be received Sunday December 27, from 4 to 6 PM at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be Monday December 28, at 10:30 AM with Pastor Noah Schumacher officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273.
The family is very understanding that some may not feel comfortable giving their condolences in person at this time. Your prayers are appreciated with the unusual circumstances and suddenness of Pat’s homecoming. Take to heart that tomorrow is never promised, and cherish your loved ones. Calling hours and services will be masked, and all are asked to practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Pat’s name to Julie Billiart School in Akron.
