Norma J. Fleshman

Norma Jean Fleshman, 86, passed away August 3, 2013.

She was born January 7, 1927 in Cuyahoga Falls and graduated from North High School in 1945. Norma lived most of her life in Akron and was a homemaker, although she had worked as a cashier for A & P Grocery. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert (Bud); son, Steve; and grandson, Jim Artis. She is survived by daughter, Gail Artis; sons, Bob (Becky), Tim and Michael; grandsons, Chuck (Tina) Artis, Jason, Tyler, Connar Fleshman; granddaughter, Shannon (Gordon) Wetmore; great grandsons, Zachary and Andrew Artis; sisters, Vida Leaver, Audrey (Andy) Couch, Sylvia (Don) Tisch; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Ed) Bartzell; brother-in-law, Don Fleshman; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 2-4, 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Schneider officiating. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at the family’s convenience.
