Norma Jean Burkholder

Norma J. Burkholder (nee Matthews), 96, passed away on January 21 at Oakleaf Village Retirement Center, Columbus, Ohio where she was a resident for 8 years.

Born in Akron, she attended Lakemore High School. She was a home maker and enjoyed sewing, gardening and dogs. She has lived in the Columbus area for the past 20 years.  

She is survived by her sons Bruce (of Columbus), Mark (a long time resident of Hartville Meadows), daughter-in-law Millie, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday January 26 at the HOPKINS LAWVER FUNERAL HOME 547 Canton Road, Akron with Rev Rich Ferris officiating. Burial will be held at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday immediately preceding the service.
