Nora Lee Heidbrider (nee Strobel)

Nora Lee Heidbrider, age 78, passed away January 2, 2016. 

Nora was born in Cleveland, she grew up in Northfield and most recently lived in the Akron area. She loved cats, enjoyed spending time working at the McDonald’s on Howe Avenue, bowling, watching the Cleveland Indians and collecting snowmen. Nora’s greatest love was her grandchildren and spending time with them. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all her family and friends. 

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald E., Sr.; and sister, Kathy Critchfield; she is survived by her son, Donald Jr. (Debra); grandchildren, Daniel (Nikki), David (Kasandra), Amanda (Greg) Greathouse and Terra Dobias; great grandchildren, Maddison, Chloee, Braeden and Greyson; numerous other loving family and friends. 

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron/Ellet, Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Gresham officiating. Burial will follow at Atwater Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service c/o Akron General Foundation, 400 Wabash Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44307-2463.
