Nicky L. Gruic

Nicky L. Gruic Sr., age 76, went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2022. 

He was born on November 7, 1945 to the late Nick and Ethel Gruic. Nicky made the most of his retirement, using the time to go hunting, fishing, and attend yard sales. He loved spending time with his family and logged countless hours playing cards with his wife, specifically Rummy 500. 

Nicky was preceded in death by his two brothers, Hershel and Timothy; father-in-law, Lloyd Hennessey; and mother-in-law, Elizabeth Hennessey. He is survived by his wife, Connie; son, Nicky; grandson, Mason; sisters-in-law, Cynthia (Earl) Blake and Sherry Bunner, and Toni Fabre; special nephew, Billy Bunner; as well as many nieces, nephews, and fishing and hunting friends.

Friends and family will be received Friday, February 18th from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 19th at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
