Nick Babich

Nick Babich, 94, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on August 21, 2017, with his wife by his side. He was born January 29, 1923 to Peter and Dora Babich. Nick was a graduate of East High School, Hammel Business College, and retired from General Tire with 44 years of service. He was a World War II Navy veteran serving in the Pacific. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Jean. Nick is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Waneta (Millie); son, David (Anne); four granddaughters, Julie (Shane) Carpenter, Christina (Ben) Rosser, Caren (Milan) Atanackovic, Joanna (Mike) Simmons; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Julie Myers and many nieces and nephews. There was a private family burial. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 9th.
