Nerita "Jane" Albert

Nerita “Jane” Albert, age 78, passed away March 18, 2014 after a short illness.

Born in Canton, she was a life resident of the Louisville and Canton areas. Jane attended First Friends Church, and enjoyed crafting, collecting antiques and interior decorating and design. Although she kept busy working at many craft shows, including the Yankee Peddler Festival, she still always found time to enjoy shopping.

Jane is survived by sons, Mike D. (Shelley) Murphy of Scottsdale, Ariz., Mark S. (Pamela) Murphy of Uniontown, and Mitchell S. (Peggy) Murphy of Minerva; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Daniel Royer of Hastings, Mich. and Jack (Wanda) Royer of Canton; and sister, Nina Gilliem of Canton.

The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.), where memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Roger Foote officiating. Private interment will take place at Warstler Cemetery in Canton. The family suggests memorials to the J. Babe Stern Community Center, 2628 13th Street SW, Canton, OH 44710.
