Nellie June Miller

Nellie June Miller, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2017. Born in Grantsville, W. Va., June lived in Akron most of her life and enjoyed flowers, gardening and fishing. Preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; and sisters, Martha Westfall and Ruth Wright, she is survived by sons, Stephen (Marion) Wright, Gary (Julie) Miller and David (Debbie) Miller; daughters, Brenda (Richard) Claar and Barbara (Wendell) Creech; grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, Kim, Shanna, Danny, Rachel and Paul; many great-grandchildren; brother, Herb (Jeannie) Wright; and sister, Jean Shock. Friends and family will be received Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be held Friday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Richard W. Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
