Nancy K. Stump

On Saturday, May 28, 2022, Nancy K Stump, age 82 of North Canton, Ohio passed away peacefully following a long hard-fought battle with cancer. Nancy was born July 17, 1939, in Terre Haute, Indiana. She lived a life devoted to God, family and friends. She enjoyed spending as much time with her family as she could, crocheting, making crafts and most important serving others. Her passion and especially dearest to her heart was Comfy Cozies, a group she started in her church that made blankets, hats and mittens for cancer patients. Nancy was preceded in death by her father Grant Lafferty, mother Mable Lafferty, step-mother Velma Lafferty, father-in law Gordon Stump and mother-in-law Annie Stump. Nancy will lovingly be remembered by her husband of 54 years, Fay F Stump; daughter Anita (Craig) Martinez of North Canton, Ohio; two sons, Christopher (Laura) Stump of North Canton, Ohio; Jonathan (Dawn) Stump of North Canton, Ohio. She will also be forever remembered by her nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Nancy’s family will receive friends, Monday June 6, 2022, from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm at the Hopkins-Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Avenue) Uniontown, Ohio. Service will be held at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Brannon Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at Greentown Cemetery in Greentown, Ohio. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The Chapel in North Canton, Ohio.
