Mildred "Millie" Lanny

Mildred “Millie” Lanny, age 91, of Mogadore, went to be with her Lord Jesus on July 30, 2013 after a sudden illness.

Born on December 11, 1921 in Akron, Millie resided in Mogadore most of her life. She was independent, loving, and a caring mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was her family and many friends. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her and love her.

Survivors include sons, Michael (Deborah) Lanny of Akron and Patrick Lanny of Mogadore; daughter, Debra (Dennis) Christman of North Canton; grandchildren, Tina (Charlie) McIntosh, Jeff (Lindsay) Mayton and Allen (Andrea) Mayton; great-grandchildren, Shelby McIntosh, Ella and Alyssa Mayton, Ethan and Avery Mayton; and sister, Lila Stuper.

Funeral service will be Friday, 7 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260, with Pastor Steve Bucy officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 5 p.m. until service time. Cremation will follow services.
