Heaven gained a beautiful angel as Michele A. Holler, age 48, lost her courageous and inspirational battle against colon cancer on October 29, 2015 surrounded by her family.
Born in Ravenna, Ohio she graduated from Rootstown High School and was a two-time alum from Kent State University earning her MBA in 2009. Michele was most recently employed with AGMC and attended St. Matthew Parish Catholic Church. She was an athlete and band member in her youth and more recently enjoyed rehabbing homes and spending time at Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto. She loved adventure and travel with her favorite destination being the beach. She enjoyed spending time with her family, many friends and precious animals.
Michele was preceded in death by her grandparents, Angela & Phillip Shumar and Pearl & Roy Holler, all of Pennsylvania. She is survived by her mother, Brenda Holler; father, Dale (Roberta) Holler; brother, Dale (Lisa) Holler; step-sister, Debbie (Jason) McGlothlin; step-brother, Joe (Diana) Fisher; nieces: Anna, Kara, Jenna, Nicole, Dominique and Angela; nephews: Vincent, Dominic, David, Anthony and Logan; dear friend, Adrienne Smythe and many more family and friends including “Rootstown Strength in Numbers”. Michele’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her coworkers and the oncology staff at AGMC and Hospice.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd., Mogadore, OH 44260, with Father Michael Williamson presiding. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family will receive guests following the services.
