Michael "Shane" Ryan

Michael “Shane” Ryan, age 32, was taken suddenly from his family and friends on December 6, 2015. 

Born in Akron, he lived in Mogadore and graduated from Field High School. Shane worked alongside of his dad doing construction, and enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He also liked playing Euchre and was an avid country music fan. Shane was an expert at detail in his profession. 

Preceded in death by grandparents, “PaPa” Buck England, and William and Theresa Ryan, Shane is survived by his parents, Michael and Patricia; sisters, Theresa (Jack) Ward and Cheyenne Slusser; girlfriend, Samantha Owen; grandmother, Pauline “MaMa” England; and was “Knuckle Shane” to Austin, Tristin, Payton “Pate Dog”, Kayden, Hadleigh, Raegan “Roo”. He is also survived by numerous family and friends. 

Friends and family will be received Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron/Ellet, Ohio 44312, where Funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Ed Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully accepts donations in their time of need. Donations can be made to the Ryan Fund at First Merit Bank.
