Michael Patrick Murphy

Michael Patrick “Mike” Murphy, age 74, passed away on March 28, 2017 due to a heart attack. A life resident of Mogadore, he graduated from Mogadore High School and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber after 36 years of service. Mike enjoyed getting together with his Goodyear buddies, but his family was always first in his life. He was always looking forward to the family trip to Myrtle Beach. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lynn; son, Michael II “Motor” (Ann); grandchildren, Payton, Hope, Mason and Ava; and many other family and friends. May the luck of the “Leprechaun’s” Irish Spirit always be with you! Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312, where a brief Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at 8 p.m. Thursday.
