Maxine (Smith) White

Maxine (Smith) White, age 93, passed away April 26, 2013.

Maxine was born in Akron, where she lived until moving to Hartville in 1965. She was a foster parent for many years, and also taught Sunday School. Preceded in death by husbands, James F. Smith and Harry R. White; sister, Vivian Sauner; and son, Dave, she is survived by sons, James (Colleen) Smith and Paul “Rick” (Nancy) Smith; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brother, Larry Reed.

Friends may call Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Avenue), where funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to the Ames Family Hospice House, 30080 Hospice Way, Westlake, OH 44145.
