Max V. Traxler Jr., age 72, passed away suddenly on October 10, 2016.
Born in Punxsutawney, Pa., he was raised in Akron and served in the U.S. Army. Max enjoyed cars and gardening.
Preceded in death by his parents, Max and Ileen Traxler, he is survived by daughters, Kayla Traxler and Kari (Rick) Walchalk; grandchildren, Lisa (James) Stoneking, Brett (Amy) Walchalk and Cord Walchalk; four great-granchildren; and many cousins.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be Friday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial following at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, 70 West Streetsboro Street, Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236.
