Mattielu Willoughby

Mattielu Willoughby, age 87, passed away July 17, 2017. Born in Moundsville, West Virginia, she lived most of her life in the Akron area. Mattielu graduated from East High School and retired as a secretary from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company. Preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Varetta White; and brother, Jim White; she is survived by dear friend, Dean Weinstock; her son, Rod (Becky) Willoughby; daughter, Sally (John) Zahuranec; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Laretta, Nancy and Joyce; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received Thursday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) Funeral service will immediately follow Thursday, 1 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
