Mary Helen Ruman

Mary Helen Ruman, age 92, passed away September 21, 2016. Mary was born and raised in Akron, Ohio before moving to San Antonio, Texas where she lived for 30 years before returning to Akron. She graduated in 1942 from East Akron High School and earned her Bachelor Degree in Secretarial Service from The University of Akron. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Wohnhas; husband, Peter; and sister, Frances Matthews; she is survived by her children, Joe (Patty) of Gurnee, Illinios and Jean (Martin) Murner of Bronxville, New York; grandchildren, Michael (Diana) and Jessica Murrer all of New York City, Peter Murrer of Bronxville, New York, Tess, Chris and Liz Ruman all of Gurnee, Illinois, and Cate of Richland, Washington; great grandchildren, Rosemary and Vivian Murrer. Funeral service will be Monday, 11:30 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312.
