Mary E. Rhodes

Mary E. Rhodes, age 87, passed away on April 1, 2017. Born in St. George, West Va. to parents, Harry and Effie (Hedrick) Sommerville, Mary lived most of her life in Akron, and was employed with Quickey Manufacturing. Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Thomas; and son, Thomas Ronald, she is survived by grandchildren, Tara (John) Stewart, Tami (Mark) Norwood and Tom; ten great-grandchildren; and brothers, Harry (Candy), Crenton and George (Rita) Sommerville. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312 with Rev. Richard W. Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
