Mary Anne Powell (nee Kelley)

Mary Anne Powell (nee Kelley), age 68, passed away March 30, 2014.

Mary Anne lived in Akron her entire life, and retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary Anne made many close friends during her 30 years at Goodyear, and made many friendships with her neighbors in Firestone Park, where she lived for over 40 years.

Preceded in death by her husband, Allen; parents, K. Hugh and Esther Kelley; brothers, Bobby and Larry Kelley; and twin sister, Marty Hagstrom. She is survived by sons, Bob (Kathleen) Pickering, David (Kathy) Pickering and John (Alison) Pickering; daughter, Patti (Ron) McDermitt; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl (Bob) Byrnes; sister-in-law, Dottie Kelley; brother-in-law, Roger Hagstrom; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Harvey Yergin officiating.
