Mary Eileen Petry

Mary Eileen Petry, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2013.

Eileen has lived in Mogadore, Portland, Oregon and Canton, Ohio. She graduated from Mogadore High School, worked briefly as a secretary at Goodyear, and then became a loving homemaker. Eileen was a member of Greenwood Christian Church in Canton, and will be remembered for her faith in God and the love and devotion to her family. She was an encourager and a prayer warrior.

Preceded in death by her husbands, C.M. Lucas, Joseph Clever and Chester Petry; brother, Elmer Shearer; and sister, Betty Reeser. She is survived by daughters, Kathy (Jim) Braucher, Barb (Jim) Kirby and Kellee (Doug) Anderson. Eileen was very proud of her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly; and two nieces who were very special to her.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.). Funeral service will be Monday, 10 a.m. at Greenwood Christian Church, 4425 Frazer Avenue NW, Canton, Ohio 44709, with Pastor Tony Amerine officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore. Memorials are suggested to Greenwood Christian Church at the above address; or Mogadore Christian Church, 106 S.
