Mary Popa Miller

Mary Popa Miller “Grammy”, age 94, passed away on March 10, 2015. She retired from North Akron Savings. Mary kept her humor and laughter until the end of her earthly journey.

Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Linwood Miller; parents, Lazar and Anna Popa; and brother, Lazar Popa, Jr., Mary is survived by daughter, Karen (Dennis) Kiehl; grandchildren, Bethany (Michael) Kohler, Noah (Brandi) Kiehl, Jonathan and Christopher Kiehl; great-granddaughter, Anya Mae Kohler; brother, John Popa; and sister, Helen Kirk. The family wishes to thank all the Hospice Angels for their compassionate care for Mary and her family.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 6 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel at The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, Ohio 44304, with Pastor Steve Bucy officiating. Private burial will be held at Copley Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 5 p.m. until service time on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on behalf of Mary’s grandson, Christopher in care of the funeral home.
