Mary Jane Long

Mary Jane Long Mary Jane Long, age 64, passed away on December 22, 2018, and is finally at rest. Mary Jane was born in Barberton, Ohio and lived most of her life in the Akron area. She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Race Tire Division after 30+ years of service. Mary Jane, along with her husband George, enjoyed motorcycle and classic car rides, and trips to the beach. Most of all, she enjoyed being a grandmother. Mary Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed greatly. She is preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, George Long Sr.; parents, John and Esther Davis; and sister, Kathy. Mary Jane is survived by her children, Jerry (Gina), Theresa Smith, and Karen Smith; step-children, Melissa and George Jr.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, James and Michael; sisters, Sheila, Patricia, and Connie; special and dear friends, Carina Teseo and Eddie Davis, and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 1 p.m.at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.). Friends and Family will be received for visitation at the funeral home on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
