Mary Anne Kapper

"Together Again" Mary Anne Kapper, age 95, passed away on January 21, 2018. Born in Guffey/Mt. Jewett, Pa., she lived in the Suffield/Brimfield areas most of her life. Mary Anne was employed at Akron City Hospital for over 20 years, and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kent. She enjoyed gardening, watching birds, knitting and crocheting. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Alfred E.; two brothers and two sisters, she is survived by sister, Gertrude Gobbel; son, James A. (Judy); daughters, Marilyn J. (Joseph) Pope, Margaret E. Kavali and Diane L. (Ray) Sterner; grandchildren, Tammy, Nadia, Amy, Hannah, Bethanie, Rachel, Joey, Kevin, Jennifer and Michael; and 14 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 600 S. Water Street, Kent, Ohio 44240 with Pastor Douglas Fidler officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
