Martin H. Howard, age 89, went home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2016.
Born in Grafton, W. Va., he lived most of his life in Hartville and Uniontown. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Howard retired from the Goodyear Rim Plant after over 30 years of service. He was a member of Evermore Community Church, and enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting, fishing and gardening. Above all, Martin enjoyed spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by son, Martin Jr.; daughter-in-law, Barbara Howard; and grandson, Jack Barnes, he is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 68 years, Dorothy; children, Sue (Jim) Wagler, Dave (Naomi) Howard, Ronald Howard and Eddie (Rhea) Howard; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lucille England, Edna Harlan and Pauline England.
Friends and family will be received Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Evermore Community Church (formerly Hartville Mennonite Church), 1470 Smith Kramer Street NE, Hartville, Ohio 44632, where funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastors Ross Miller and Henry Schrock officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to the church.
