Martha Ruth Tracy

Martha Ruth Tracy, 78, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2012.

She was born in Maunie, Illinois and was a graduate of Carbondale High School. Martha lived in Akron for the past 52 years, where she devoted her life to being a kind, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was an avid reader who enjoyed being surrounded by her books, flowers and family photos, but what she really loved was being surrounded by her family. She will be dearly missed.

Preceded in death by her parents, LaVerne and Lucy (Clark) Brown; brother, Daniel E. Brown; granddaughter, Peggy Ann Tracy; she leaves sons, Sam (Pam), Steve, Scott (Edie), and Stan (Nikki) Tracy; daughters, Linda Sue McBride and Lisa (Wade) Scarpitti; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Ginger) and Dennis Brown; sister, Mary Beth (Roger) Milford.

Funeral services will be held Friday 1:00 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street (1 block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Avenue, Uniontown, Ohio 44685. Burial to follow at Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
