Martha L. Shuey

Martha L. Shuey, age 89, passed away on December 7, 2016. Born in Kenmore, she lived in the Akron area all of her life. Martha retired from McDonalds and Sam’s Club after a combined 15 years of service. She was a member of Wedgewood United Methodist Church and Eastern Star Falls Chapter #169. Martha enjoyed being part of the Red Hat Society and social gatherings with family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert; she is survived by son, David Strohl (Joyce); stepdaughter, Laurel Magallanes (Steve); and grandchildren, Jonathan Strohl, Megan and Stevie Magallanes. Friends and family will be received Sunday, from 2 to 5 p.m., and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Sheila Hershberger officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
