Marsha J. Cutlip, 71, of Suffield, passed away at home on July 21, 2012 after a nearly 2 year battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
She was born August 19, 1940 in Newton Falls to the late John and Mary Prutz. Marsha’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a fixture at every game and event for her sons and grandchildren. Always smiling and out-going, she didn’t know a stranger. Once she befriended someone, she hugged them every time she saw them after that. Her family called it the famous “Bubba Hug.”
In recent years, Marsha enjoyed working the elections because it gave her a chance to chat with and hug everyone from her community. Aside from attending the sporting events of her grandchildren, Marsha also loved bowling, playing cards, walking, and meeting with her large circle of friends for breakfast or lunch.
She is preceded in death by her son, Rick; and parents. Marsha is survived by her husband of 50 years, Glen. She also leaves sons, David (Jami) of Suffield, Dean of Fairlawn, and Randy of Huron; grandchildren, Corey, Ricky, Curtis and Randi; brother, John (Pat) of The Villages, FL; twin sister, Marilyn Hoffman of Warren; sister-in-law, Carol (Rich) Overton; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue, Mogadore, Ohio 44260, Rev. Jerald Fenske officiating. Burial to follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 am Wednesday until service time.
