Mark Nicholas Lontchar, age 73, passed away August 7, 2013.
Born in Akron, he was a graduate of Kenmore High School and was educated at the University of Akron. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Lontchar was employed for over 25 years at the BF Goodrich Company, and over 20 years at Integrated Medical in Kent. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, spending time with his grandchildren, and a good card game with friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Mary Lontchar; a very special aunt, Lena Palmer; and special uncle, Stephen Lontchar. Mark is survived by his wife of 46 years, Helen; children, Mark Jr. (Natalie), Steve (Kate), and Matthew (Suzette); grandchildren, Mitchell, Ava, Amelia, Stella, Maxwell, and Graham; sisters, Joan Temo and Marie Bosu.
Memorial service will be Monday, 7 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) with Pastor Scott M. McCutcheon officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the time of service. Private interment will take place at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Hartville. Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made in his name to the World Wildlife Fund, P.O. Box 97180, Washington, DC 20090-7180.
