Marjorie Jacobs

Marjorie Jacobs (nee Harshbarger) Marjorie Jacobs, age 87, passed away on November 22, 2016 after a long illness. Born in Akron, she lived in the area all of her life and spent 28 years wintering in Florida with her husband. Margie attended East High School, and golfed in the Mogadore Women’s League. She also enjoyed bowling and Bingo. Margie was a wonderful mother, homemaker and wife. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Elmer; daughters, Judy (Fred) Heller, Diane Jacobs and Joyce Jacobs (Scott Evans); son, Chris Jacobs; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Bashor and his wife for their many years of loving care and friendship. Friends and family will be received Tuesday, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. with The Rev. Robert W. Tauscher officiating. Cremation and private burial will take place at a later date.
