Marion A. Rowe

Marion passed away peacefully on July 31, 2014.

She was born on August 28, 1939 and raised in Warren, Ohio. Marion graduated from Kent State University in 1961 with a teaching degree. She taught Spanish at Rootstown High School, and worked 12-1/2 years at Summit County Children Services Board as a Clerk-Typist II before becoming a full-time homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Bill McCoy; and her husband, Robert L. Rowe. She is survived by her daughter, Pat Rowe; and her beloved grandchildren, Benjamin and Kinsey; son and fiancée, Robert Rowe and Mylene Garcia Snyder; two aunts, Elizabeth Furman of Mentor and Molly Smerek of Albuquerque; and cousins, Elizabeth (Richard) Swader and Elene (Robert) Gusch and daughter, Lenore. Special friends include Barbara and Don Butch, Paula Savage, and Marilyn Bondurant; along with her constant canine companions, Itsy Bitsy and Trixie.

She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and friend who will be missed by everyone who knew her. Her passions included gardening and reading, and she could always recommend a good book. Special thanks to Dr. John Petrus, Dr. Ghassan Khayyat and staff and Hospice Care Center for providing excellent care.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
