Marilyn Gaylord, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 28, 2016 at home surrounded by family and loved ones.
Marilyn graduated from Twinsburg High School in 1943 and in 1944 married the love of her life, George. A lifelong resident of Green, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She served her country in World War II working on planes at Aircraft, and was a proud and active member in Navy Mothers. She was an avid Cleveland sports fan and was proud to tell anyone that she and George attended the first ever Browns game. Marilyn was a blessing to all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, George; twin sons, Larry and Gary Gaylord; son, Terry Gaylord; sister, Carol Barnes; and daughter-in-law, Janel Gaylord. She is survived by son, Tom Gaylord; daughter, Joyce (Dan) Davidson; daughter-in-law, Judy Gaylord; grandchildren, Kelly (Nick) Chapman, Tommy Gaylord, Katie (Eric) Lowe and Stacy Davidson; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Lane, Clayton, Tucker, Ace and Jameson. Special thanks to Great Lakes Hospice and caregivers, Vicki and Tanya.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Road, Uniontown, Ohio 44685 with Pastor Glenn E. Rogers Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Greensburg Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Temple Baptist Church, P.O.
