Marie Wittmann, 90, of Brighton, MI, passed away on August 18, 2021, after a brief illness. Marie was born in Yugoslavia to Anton and Gisela Felder on January 24, 1931. She grew up on the family farm. She married her husband, Joseph Wittmann, in 1950 before immigrating to the United States. She was a gentle, compassionate soul who devoted her life to caring for her family and friends.
Marie was a member of the German Family Society in Brimfield, Ohio where she sung in the choir, volunteered in the kitchen, and loved to dance. She was a member of the Christ Child Society during her time living in Columbus, Ohio. She enjoyed taking trips with the Brighton Senior Center, especially when travelling to the casino. Most of all, her greatest pleasure was preparing delicious dishes from her homeland for her family and friends.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; daughter, Elisabetha; siblings, Martin, Frank, Anton and Katrina Felder; along with her grandchildren, Jacklyn Wittmann and Derek Walbeck. She is survived by; her children, Albert Wittmann (Tommie), Nancy Huth (Dennis, deceased), Rose Reymann (Stephen) and Lori Walbeck (David); along with her nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd., Uniontown, OH 44685 at noon on Monday, August 23, 2021. The family will receive friends at the church one-hour prior. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given in her memory to the Christ Child Society of Columbus, P. O. Box 340091, Columbus, OH 43224-0091.
