Marie Mercier, age 81, passed away on January 1, 2016.
Born in West Virginia, Marie lived in Suffield and retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after over 40 years of service.
Preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Murphy; son, Keith; and mother, Georgia Nopper, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Emile; brother, Donald (Darlene) Nopper; sister, Norma (Dennis) Wilmoth; stepdaughters, Monica (John) Rintoul and Karen (Tony) Stastny; stepson, John (Debbie) Mercier; stepgrandchildren, Matthew (Katherine) Rintoul, Kate Rintoul (Chris) Mullinax, Ethan (Mariette) Rintoul; stepgreat-granddaughters, Victoria and Philomena Rintoul, Millie and Mattie Mullinax; and several other stepgrand and great-grandchildren; niece, Lesley Wilmoth; and nephew, Michael Wilmoth.
Funeral service will be held Friday, 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron/Ellet, Ohio 44312. Private burial will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Savannah Foundation, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah GA 31416.
