Marianne "Mimi" Remark

Marianne “Mimi” Remark (nee Potter) Marianne “Mimi” Remark, age 69, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 19, 2017. Born in Barberton, Mimi made her family home in Uniontown, Ohio after graduating from St. Mary’s High School in Akron. She was a longtime member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church in Springfield Township. Mimi loved her children and grandchildren who were foremost in her life. She also enjoyed spending time at the family home in Clearwater, Fla. Preceded in death by her brother, Ed Potter, Mimi is survived by her loving and devoted husband and best friend of 48 years, Bob; her children who were the pride of her life, son, Chris (Stacy), and daughter, Tracy (Ty) Hilbert; her grandchildren who were the joy of her life, Katie, Emily and Christopher; mother, Elizabeth Potter; brother, Tom (Julie) Potter; and sister and lifelong friend, Pat Steiner. The family will receive friends Friday, April 28, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Road (at Killian Road), Akron, Ohio 44312. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Nativity Church Saturday, April 29 at 10 a.m. with Father Zachary M. Kawalec presiding. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
