Margaret Mary Shircliff (Matthews) Born November 30, 1929 – September 16, 2018 On a wonderfully warm fall evening with the window open next to her bed, a slight breeze blows across her face, following several hours of family; tiny tots to those with silver locks merging for our customary Sunday “beer break”. Our Mom, Margaret Mary Shircliff made the peaceful transition from this temporary world to the eternal, survived by her husband Joseph Abel Shircliff of 68 years in marriage; the children with their spouses, W. Joseph and Josephine Shircliff, Matt and Ruth Shircliff, Kenn and Debbie Shircliff, Karen and Wade Dollinger, Bob Shircliff, Becky Shircliff and Bart Carr; the grandchildren, John and Mallory Shircliff, Josh and Adrienne Shircliff, Kristen and Jeff Barnett, Katy and Jacob Wolff, Kenn Shircliff and Hannah Cottrill, Stephen and Meredith Pero, Olivia Shircliff, Jesse Shircliff and Meranda Middleton; the great grandchildren, Emma Shircliff, Evie Jo Shircliff, Little Joe Shircliff, Cora Pero, Stephen Pero, Jr. Our Mom was a great steward of all things she touched with six children;*A spoon and spatula, fed us all delights through the decades; *A needle and thread, became a quilted work of art on every bed; *A pen in hand produced a well written thank you for the simplest act. *Every baby bottle, jar, package, button and zipper; every Band-Aid, basket, lid and drawer opened while raising her family. *Another man's hand, Joseph Abel Shircliff. Further snuggling and cuddling the grandkids, always followed with a plate of snacks at her counter. A special thanks to Hospice Services and our private care givers. You were always here for us. Services will be held Friday, September 21 at St. Joseph Church of Randolph, Ohio. Calling hour will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with service to follow.
