Madeline Louise Shoemaker

Madeline Louise Shoemaker, 84 years, quietly passed away November 23, 2014 surrounded by her family.

Born in Suffield in 1930, she moved to Mogadore after her marriage to Donald Shoemaker in 1954, and was a life village resident. Her hobbies included crafts and babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, James A. and Grace Matheny; and sister, Betty Marietta. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald; children, Patty (Tom) Sullivan, Nancy (Dale) Housley, Dave (Jan) Shoemaker and Dennis (Sarah) Shoemaker; eight grandchildren; nine and counting great-grandchildren; and brother, Dwight “Mac” Matheny of Clearwater, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260, where memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. with Dr. Eugene F. Higgins officiating.
