Madaline Spicer McClain

Madaline Spicer McClain, age 100, went home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2015.

Born in Copen, W.Va., she had lived in Akron since 1942. Madaline was a member of Temple Baptist Church, and enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Patrick in 1998; parents, Bunyan and Alberta Spicer; brothers, Ralph and Harvey; and sisters, Floda, Lucy and Ruth, she is survived by nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and a brother-in-law.

The family will receive friends Saturday (TODAY), from 1 to 3 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Glenn Rogers Jr. officiating. Further services will take place at the Stockert Paletti Funeral Home in Flatwoods, W.Va. with burial at the Spicer Family Cemetery in Copen, W.Va. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Road, Uniontown, OH 44685.
