Mack Arden Stapleton, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014.
He was born in Barlow, Ky. on 12-22-22 to the late William and Flora Stapleton, and was the last of the family of six brothers and one sister to pass. They will be greeting him in Heaven, along with Betty, his beloved late wife of 53 years. Mack and Betty moved to Akron in 1946 and lived in Randolph since 1954. He retired from the RCA Rubber Company, was a member of Mount Akra Lodge #680 and attended Truth Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is son, Jerry Mack (Patty) of Valrico, Fla.; daughter, Rita of Uniontown; grandson, Shannon Arden (Jackie) of New York; great grandson, Alexander Ian; great granddaughter, Avery Jade; sisters-in-law, Rose Freeman of Cadiz, Ky., Joyce of Akron; and brother-in-law, Carl Bridges of Cadiz, Ky.; beloved nieces; nephews; and two cousins. He also leaves behind his partner, Evelyn Shewell, who he shared the last few years of his life together. Evelyn’s family also shares in his loss. Mack was a hard-working man of faith who loved to tell jokes, garden and dance. He had a full life, we are all so thankful.
