Mabel B. (Kim) Sage

Mabel B. Sage, age 101, passed away on Sept. 23, 2015 at Stow Glen Retirement & Nursing Home. 

Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., she lived in the Akron, Ohio area most of her life. Mabel was employed with Saalfield Publishing for 25 years and was a member of Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church in Akron. 

Preceded in death by her husband, Russell Sage; sisters, Margaret Harper and Ruth Conners; and brother, George Kim, she is survived by many nieces and nephews. Having no children, Mabel was a “mother” at one time or another to her nephews and nieces. 

Family and friends will be received Friday, September 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312, where funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family suggests memorials to Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church, 1430 Goodyear Blvd., Akron, OH 44305-4168.
