Lucy R. Strause

Lucy R. Strause, age 97, passed away in her home on June 12, 2021. Born in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, she lived most of her life in Uniontown, Ohio. Lucy graduated from Beaver Dam High School and she retired from B.F. Goodrich after 31 years of service. Lucy was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a three time cancer survivor and actively participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and traveling. Lucy also loved spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Sarah (Lizzie) Boswell; brothers, William G. Boswell and J.C. Boswell; sisters, Elizabeth Barrett, Minnie Lou McDowell, and Dora Belle Taylor. Lucy is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary (Jeff) Morgan (Mogadore, Ohio); grandchildren, Ray (Marianne) Strause (Uniontown, Ohio), Ami (John) Terranova (Hartville, Ohio), Kat (Jasen) Morgan (Alliance, Ohio), Carri (Mike) Gibbs (Mogadore, Ohio); great grandchildren, Desirae, Emily, Maggie, Scott, J.J., Brooki, Blaize, Haiden, Lilli, Calli, Ty, and Coltin; seven great-great grandchildren; devoted care giver, Patti Rivers; and special friend, Kathy Livak. Friends and Family will be received Tuesday, June 22, from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. at My Community Life Church, 106 S. Cleveland Avenue, Mogadore, Ohio 44260. A Memorial Service will be held immediately following at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Gordon Hayberg officiating.
