Lucille L. Schlabach, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2018.
A life resident of Hartville, Lucille graduated from Aultman School of Nursing and retired from Aultman Hospital in 1991. She was a member of Bethany Mennonite Church and spent many years teaching Sunday school.
Lucille volunteered at many places throughout the years including Mennonite Missions in Indiana, Home for the Aged in Illinois, and helping a Mennonite doctor at his mountain clinic in West Virginia. She traveled and sang with the Mennonite Revivals in 13 different countries and also sang with a group for the Brunk Revivals. Lucille also enjoyed crafts of all kinds, nature, flowers and bird watching.
After her mother became ill, Lucille and her sister took over the care of their parents and the needs of their home.
Preceded in death by her parents, Levi and Mary Schlabach; sister, Edna Troyer; and brother, Earl Schlabach, she is survived by brother, Lewis Schlabach; and sister, Alma Miller.
Lucille impacted the lives of many people through the years.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Bethany Mennonite Church, 3497 Edison Street NE, Hartville, Ohio 44632 with Pastor Dave Slabaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends and family will be received at the church prior to the service on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
