Louise E. Smith

Louise E. Smith, age 86, passed away March 4, 2013.

She was born in Akron in 1926, and lived most of her life in Cuyahoga Falls. Louise belonged to the Golden Agers at the Akron Baptist Temple, and Stonecroft Missions in Cuyahoga Falls. She was a member of Ohio Country & Western Music Association and a lifetime member of First Evangelical Congregational Church, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir.

She leaves beloved husband, Donald Smith of 69 years; daughter, Debbie (Mark) Wise; son, Randy (Sara) Smith; four grandchildren, Jason (Sara) Miller, Brandon (Kim) Miller, Stefanie Wise and Dustin Smith; great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Grace Miller and Kyriella Noel Miller; sister, Geneva Henry; nieces, Sherry Strickland, Kim Hardy and Beverly Henry; devoted brother-in-law, Clark Dauber of Cuyahoga Falls; nephews, Bruce and Clark Dauber, Jr.; and very special friends, Ron and Gerry Steadman.

Funeral service will be Saturday, 11 a.m. at First Evangelical Congregational Church, 369 E. Woodsdale Avenue, Akron, OH 44301 with Rev. Scott Carr officiating. Burial will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, OH 44312 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. The family suggests that donations may be made to the church.
