Lou Ann Wellock

Lou Ann Wellock (nee Guthier), age 76, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on August 1, 2014, surrounded by her family.

Born in Akron, she lived in the Akron/Stow area all of her life. Lou Ann was employed as a secretary for Visiting Nurse Service. She enjoyed researching genealogy and loved gardening. Lou Ann was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be missed by her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lura Guthier; and grandson, Dustin; she is survived by her son, Craig (Cherry) Wellock, and his children, Lindsay (Alan) Richardson, Corey and Justin Wellock; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Dennis Palchesko, and their son, Dylan; great-grandchildren, Ava, Ella and Sophia Richardson; sisters, Lyn (Brad) Petraitis and Gail (Dan) Erslan; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Riverwood Community Chapel, 1407 Fairchild Avenue, Kent, Ohio 44240, with Pastor Cole Tawney officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time. Private graveside interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to Riverwood Community Chapel.
