Loretta J. Gross

Loretta J. Gross, 76, earned her wings and flew up to Heaven to be with the Lord on May 4, 2024.

Born in Syracuse, NY she lived around the Akron area before settling in Uniontown for the last 20 years. Loretta enjoyed playing tennis, shopping, and traveling. She made wedding cakes and loved to cook – she was known to make a mean zucchini bread! But most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were her world.

Loretta was preceded in death by her in-laws, Frank and Anna Gross, and dear friends, Vivian Bartholomew and Paula Lerta. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Frank Gross; children, David and Alan (Sandy); grandchild, Tara; step children, Troy (Jessica) and Tara (Chris); step grandchildren, Trent, Trevor, Tucker, Morgan, and Lucy,; sister, Mary Amero; nieces, Adriene, Laura, and Julie; and dear friend, Cheryl Cole.

Friends and family will be received Sunday, May 12^th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hopkins Lawver UNIONTOWN Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Avenue), Uniontown, Ohio 44685. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 13^th at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Parish, 1580 Brown St. Akron, OH 44301. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5075 Windfall Rd. Medina, OH 44256.
