Lois I. Bloss

Lois Irene Bloss, age 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 11, 2022. Born in Canton, Lois was a resident of Uniontown for most of her life. She graduated from Uniontown High School and soon married her high school sweetheart, Bill Bloss. She was employed by Goodyear before becoming a full-time mother. Lois was a member of Hartville Church of the Brethren where she served faithfully in a variety of ministries. She volunteered at Akron Children’s Hospital for 45 years and also delivered for Meals on Wheels. Lois enjoyed camping, traveling, sewing, reading, baking, and card club. She loved spending time with her family, especially spending her winters in Arizona with her beloved husband, Bill. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; son, Mark; son-in-law, Jeff; and sister, Donna. She is survived by her daughters, Michele (Ken) Milligan, Tammy (Jerry) Ledgerwood, and Tina (Johnny) Henson; grandchildren, Shana, Elizabeth, Kristy, Benjamin, Justin, Abby, Holly, Spencer, and Nolan; and 21 great-grandchildren. Our family is especially grateful to the staff of The Gables of Canton for the special love and care that was provided for our mother these last six months. We had the assurance that she was in good hands! We are also thankful for Traditions Hospice for years of expertise, advice, and care. Their staff is truly wonderful. Memorials may be made to Akron Children’s Hospital (giving.akronchildrens.org) or Meals on Wheels (mealsonwheelsamerica.org) Friends and family will be received Friday, July 15th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hartville Church of the Brethren, 353 Crestmont Ave. SW, Hartville, OH 44632. Funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. with burial following at Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery.
