Lily (Dimarco) Doering

Lily (Dimarco) Doering, 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 4, 2017. Born in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of John and Ontonia “Anna” Dimarco. She graduated from West High School in 1943. Lily and her future husband worked at Goodyear Aircraft Assembly Plant during WWII. Later, she worked as a Certified Dietician for several years. Lily will be well remembered and loved by all who knew her. Her beautiful art and paintings, sharp wit, strong will, and love for her family instilled in all of us our family values. Lily was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Herman “Bill”; daughter, Ava; sisters, Agnes and Nancy; and brother, Joe. She is survived by her sons, William (Barbara) of WI, Larry of FL, Fred (Melody) of Green, and Tony (Jerry) of Green; ten grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be Friday, 11 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown.
