Leslie R Wenzlawsh

Leslie Wenzlawsh, age 60, passed away on May 16, 2024.

Born in Akron, Ohio, she lived in Mogadore, Ohio. Leslie graduated from Field High School and Devry University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She retired from her position of controller for the Akron Rubber Ducks baseball team after several years. Leslie was a board member of Greater Akron Baseball Hall of Fame. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking, baking, board games, trivia, and playing cards. She enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Guardians, Cavaliers, and Browns, and she loved doing crafts and activities with her grandchildren.

Leslie is preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Reed, and her sister, Denise Cusack. She is survived by her partner of 25 years, Donnie Hewitt; her children, Michelle (Dan) Baggetta, Kalyn (Andy Provo) Wenzlawsh, Teghan (Zach Delinger) Reed; her step children, Brad (Kasey Wright) Hewitt, Christie (Louie) Ferguson, Alicia (Nathan) Tharp; grandchildren, Jessica (Douglas), Danny, Isaac, Olivia, Marco, Isabelle, Giovanni; nieces and nephews, Brittany, Brooke, Reed, Calvin, Bryson, Jordan, Emily; father, Ronald Reed; and sister, Valerie (Aaron) Carlton.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 5-7pm with a memorial service immediately following at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home (547 Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44312).
